Export Levies Collection

The  Bank has just  been  appointed  as  one  of  the  only  three Banks  designated  to  collect  export  levies. The other two banks are UBA and UBN. The  export  levies  are on the  following  11 agricultural commodities: Cocoa., Cotton, Cashew, Cassava, Shea-Nut, Ginger, Gum Arabic, Sesame Seed, , Poultry, Floriculture  Fruits  and Vegetables The  Ruling  rate  per  metric  tonne  is 5USD for cocoa, gum  Arabic ginger and  cotton and 3USD  Per  metric  tonne  on  other  agricultural commodities. The  export  levy is  the  Federal  Governments main  source  of financing  the  nation’s membership  of international  commodity Organizations to  which she  belongs.
